Salvation from Extiction

Ever since I was a kid, I always thought of the world to be clean, safe, full of cute animals running freely over the grassy meadows...Yeah, I know it sounds gay, but I was just a kid, a real wimp. But now that I know better, I have finally crawled out of my immature, childish world and have finally faced the facts. Our world is DYING. The grassy meadows I used to dream about have been burned out and cleared out by mankind's unrelenting destruction. Our leaders promised us a better, cleaner place to live in if we elected them to be in the position that they desired, but look at where we are now. We're standing on the same polluted ground from where we've been living on for countless years. Yes, roads have been concreted, buildings have been built, bridges have been constructed. Those are all good things, they improved the way we live our lives. But at what cost? Forest have been cleared out to make way for more infrastructures.

The destruction of our forests could cause a very significant effect on our world and our lives. It would disrupt the equilibrium of nature. It could become the cause of the eradication of our very existence. AS man-made factories continue to churn out polluted gasses into the air, animals and people suffer from poisoning because of the toxic chemicals released from the factories, not to mention the destruction of our ozone layer, which would lead to even more unthinkable disasters to our world.

And as you sit comfortably on your chair reading this blog, don't ever think that you're exempted from all this. We both know you did something to contribute to the universal problem we're facing right now. Maybe...a littered candy wrapper, or a discarded empty bottle on the gym bleachers...you know what you did, but don't think that we've hit a dead end. I know this would sound really stale and cliche but, there is still hope for us. If we would do our part and get a move on it, we would still ensure a good future for ourselves and for our children. And at the same time prevent catastrophies like what happended in the movie 2012, from happening. We know it's possible for us to save our planet, if we only do our part.
